Engine Architecture & FAQ

SPEC // 16-BIT HD-2D

What is Genoblox 2.5D?

Genoblox is an authentic 16-bit retro HD-2D JRPG game engine combining unified Godot 4.3 runtime, procedural terrain cliffs, dynamic lighting, and one-click multiplatform deployment for PC, Mac, Linux, and Android.

How does the HD-2D rendering pipeline work?

It renders authentic 16-bit pixel art character sprites within a 3D perspective viewport, featuring real-time camera raycast wall occlusion, dynamic cloud shadows, procedural geological soil cutaways, and atmospheric volumetric lighting.

Which platforms can games be exported to?

With direct Godot 4.3 compilation, games can be compiled into native Android APKs, macOS apps, Windows executables, Linux packages, and WebGL builds with zero external framework dependencies.

When is the official public release?

Version 1.2.0 is currently in Private Candidate Testing. The official public release of binaries for desktop and mobile is scheduled for 30 October 2026.
